One of my favorite Bible verses about death is, “In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” (Proverbs 12:28)
Death. The short five letter and one syllable word that is the summation of all our fears. It’s an inevitable experience, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or status. The thought of dying and not knowing what comes next has been one of life’s most profound mysteries. These Bible verses about death can help make sense it all.

Death Has no Victory Over Us
Death will come knocking and whether we answer that door or run and hide makes no difference for death triumphs all for now…
But what then? What happens after death runs its victory lap over our life? This question and others like it seem to be birthed from the very core of our human condition. If every action has an opposite and equal reaction, then death is life’s great equalizer and vice versa. So is this a 1:1 ratio? One life and one death?
For some, this finality is completely fine, or so they say. They live for today… tomorrow may never come… nothing else matters, and the devil may care but they don’t.
As believers in the Bible, we know that the “throw caution to the wind” mentality is grossly insufficient. Do we stay in a forever sleep? The Bible uses sleep several times throughout referring to death. “Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. ~ Daniel 12:2
Will you rise up to see the angels rejoicing to welcome you in, or will you rise to a never ending darkness? Choose this day who you will serve so your death will bring on a new and wonderful beginning.
For those in Christ, death is not the finality it once was. Death is more like a bridge or threshold between this life and the next. May theses Bible verses about death open your eyes to living the life you have now to praise, love, worship, and believe in Messiah for your salvation. God bless you abundantly!
