A Taste of Your Daily Devo

Let’s begin with this powerful truth from John 10:10: “The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy,” Jesus said, “But I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

This is our anchor verse — the heartbeat of everything we do here. Jesus didn’t come just to pay the price for our eternal salvation. He came to give us abundant life, He said, here and now (on Earth as it is in Heaven).

And, yes, that includes your health!

In fact, this abundant life touches every part of who you are, and we refer to this as “Bible Health.”

Essentially, each area of your life falls into one (or more) of these 7 categories, and, YES, it should be your goal to enjoy abundance in every area.

Here are the 7 areas of the abundant life, which will guide our journey together as we draw from God’s word in our Bible Health Daily experience.

  1. Spiritual Abundance – Living with divine purpose and enjoying a thriving relationship with your Creator.
  2. Physical Abundance – Maintaining a strong, healthy body free of disease and chronic symptoms.
  3. Mental Abundance – Being intellectually sound and having the Mind of Christ.
  4. Emotional Abundance – Enjoying peace and experiencing a balance of positive feelings.
  5. Financial Abundance – With your needs being met, not living in debt and having extra to be BIG givers.
  6. Occupational Abundance – Finding purpose and truly enjoying the work of your hands.
  7. Social Abundance – Fostering deep, mutually beneficial relationships on a daily basis.

Each of these are connected to each other and, like a chain, you are only as strong as your weakest link. If your physical body isn’t performing how it should, for example, it’s going to weigh you down emotionally and cause strain in your relationships. If your job isn’t going well or you aren’t working up to your full potential, it’s going to impact your financial health and your mental health by raising your stress levels.

REMEMBER: Great habits are formed daily and require consistent commitment. So, make it your determined effort to press through, no matter how hard it may seem or how many times you fall!

Abundant life doesn’t mean you won’t face trouble. In fact, Jesus promises that in this world, you will have tribulation. But the good news is this: He has overcome the world. And because He lives in you, you can thrive — even in a toxic, broken world.

So as we begin this journey together, let this truth sink deep: Abundant life is your inheritance in Christ. It’s not something you have to earn. It’s a gift to be received and lived out daily.

Join Me in Prayer

Father, thank You for the abundant life we have in Jesus. Teach us to walk in it daily — in our faith, in our health, and in our homes. Help us reject fear, confusion, and broken systems, and instead embrace Your design for healing and wholeness. Let today be a step toward living fully alive in You. Amen.
